A thermostat is simply a temperature regulating device that, if appropriately programmed, can decide how much cooling or heating specific parts of the building are going to get depending upon the parameters. There are different types of thermostats available right now.
2. Air Conditioner: Air conditioners do what they are supposed to do; provide cooling to the property. However, it should be kept in mind that commercial or industrial level ACs are different from residential ACs. The reason behind them is that the former is made for heavy-duty tasks and hence is much more complex.
3. Compressor:The compressor, on the other hand, is used to circulate refrigerant in between the evaporator and condenser coil. It is also used to change the physical state of refrigerant, liquid to gas, and vice versa. Usually, refrigerant is in the form of gas, which is in its normal state. Thus, the compressor compresses it so that its temperature rises. Later on, it is passed to the condenser, where the cooling process starts in earnest.
4. Condenser:The condenser is actually on the heating side of the Commercial And Industrial HVAC system. Also known as the heat exchanger, this particular part removes the heat from the interior of the building to its exterior. Additionally, it is also supposed to change the physical state of refrigerants. However, unlike the compressor, the involvement of the condenser in this process is much more direct. It also works in direct opposition to AC by collecting heat from the exterior into the heat pump.
5. Thermal Expansion Valve:A thermal expansion valve is an active part of the air conditioning process, contrary to what the name might suggest. It is usually located either in the interior of an air handler or at the front of the evaporator coils. This specific Commercial And Industrial HVAC part is responsible for lowering the pressure on the liquid refrigerant so that it can expand and change from liquid to gas.
6. Air Handler:Air handlers serve as housing for other Commercial And Industrial HVAC parts like evaporator coils, blowers, and subcomponents, including racks, sound attenuators, dampers, chambers, cooling, heating elements, etc.
7. Terminal Units:The terminal units serve as housing units for the blower, coils, and air filters. But unlike other Commercial And Industrial HVAC parts, these come in different sizes. They are mainly located near duct returns or ceiling walls.
8. Chiller: Chiller is one of those Commercial And Industrial HVAC parts that are not strictly necessary to have, but having them can create a lot of difference. These machines are used to down the temperature of different processes throughout the building.
9. Furnace:The furnace is a part of the heating system. It provides heat, which is then distributed through the blower to the vents. Surprisingly, it works directly against the AC.
10. Duct Work + Ventilation System:The last part is the ductwork along with the ventilation system.
