Daniel Noltemeyer is special.
Last fall, NASCAR honored the Louisville native for his work with Best Buddies Kentucky.
He received the $100,000 Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award. He also received a Toyota Camry for his work in leading and promoting the organization that pairs young people with disabilities with “buddies.”
This week, Daniel is the featured guest for the On Track with Ben Rhodes TV show. The weekly program, which airs Saturdays at Noon on WBNA-21 in Louisville, is hosted by Alpha Energy Solutions driver Ben Rhodes and WHAS-TV Sports Director Kent Spencer.
Noltemeyer won the NASCAR award over hundreds of contestants. After he was named one of four finalists, he and the Best Buddies organization launched a campaign to garner online votes. As the winner of the online voting, Daniel attended a NASCAR banquet and met some of his racing heroes.
Daniel is a huge fan of racing and was thrilled to talk with Ben on the set.
The Best Buddies Kentucky organization is holding a Friendship Walk on March 29 at Seneca Park.
