When the heat set in during the biggest event of the year at Kentucky Speedway last month, Alpha Mechanical Services placed nearly a dozen pieces of equipment from its rental fleet at the Sparta facility to cool things off, from tents to garages to corporate hospitality areas.

And when a western Kentucky chemical plant scheduled a shutdown for maintenance, Alpha Mechanical Services provided temporary cooling units so the plant could operate without interruption.

Alpha also provided a rental chiller unit for an extended period at Centre College while one of its building’s main systems was being replaced.

Alpha Mechanical Service’s Rental Equipment Department offers dozens of equipment that it can place on most sites within 24 hours. The fleet includes HVAC units, boilers, chillers, and generators. Alpha will deliver, set up, and monitor the equipment, and then take it away when the job is done.

Bruce Johnson, Alpha’s rental equipment services director, said that various rental units’ availability had become a valuable service to customers.

“Many of our customers can’t afford to have downtime, and when they have an emergency, our rental fleet can keep their operations going,” he said.
