More than 60 members of the Kentucky School Plant Management Association attended a breakout session on Oct. 29 at its annual conference.
Alpha Energy Solutions, along with its building automation supplier Cochrane Supply, offered the audience an update of new industry developments.
Steve Hoffman, Area Manager for Cochrane, led a discussion about Tridium’s products and how they can be incorporated into existing building automation systems.
Along with Dave Hellman, Alpha’s Director of Energy and Performance, Hoffman explained applications for new products on the market under the Niagara software platform. It integrates diverse systems and devices regardless of manufacturer or communication protocol into a unified platform that can be easily managed and controlled in real-time over the Internet using a standard web browser.
Many of the attendees were managers of their school systems’ building automation systems and asked several questions about the new technology available.
Alpha is a Platinum Sponsor of the KSPMA event, which was held Oct. 29-31.
