Mayor Greg Fischer discusses energy management with Alpha Energy’s Scott Pate during the Commercial Energy Efficiency Expo.
Louisville’s Metro Government is leading the push toward energy efficiency in commercial buildings. Alpha Energy Solutions is actively helping its customers monitor energy use and make smart decisions to use energy resources efficiently.
Alpha was among about a dozen companies participating in the Oct. 11 Commercial Energy Efficiency Expo downtown, presented by the Louisville Energy Alliance. The one-day show offered facility managers opportunities to learn new practices and technology, like Alpha Energy’s Air Advice program, which identifies energy-savings opportunities.
Mayor Greg Fischer, who created the city’s first Office of Sustainability, illustrating his commitment to smart energy management, visited the Alpha booth.
As part of the event, there was a presentation by Brent Fryrear, director of the Partnership for a Green City, who discussed initiatives involving Metro Government, the University of Louisville, Jefferson Community, and Technical College, and Jefferson County Public Schools.
