Every year, it seems, the Alpha Energy Solutions Christmas Party gets a little bit bigger.

This year was no exception, as more than 300 guests enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner and entertainment at the Horseshoe Casino in southern Indiana.

The annual celebration marked the company’s continued success, as Alpha associates from throughout the region and their families enjoyed getting to know each other.

At the Managers Meeting before the party, more than 40 Alpha managers discussed a successful 2014 and plans for an even better 2015.  Each Alpha department was represented, with associates from Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Tennessee.

The meeting featured an “Ugly Sweater” contest, with some creative entries that fit the contest’s description. The finalists — Joe DeMarsh, Todd Ciprian, Scott Pate, and Doug Dowdy — were competing for tickets to the upcoming basketball game between Louisville and Kentucky at the Yum! Center. Pate was judged as the winner.

Ben Rhodes, the Alpha Energy Solutions racecar driver, gave a brief speech and answered questions. Rhodes just announced he would be joining the JR Motorsports team in 2015, driving 10 races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

President Joe Rhodes gave credit to his associates for the company’s best year.  DeMarsh, who recently retired, was recognized for his contributions to Alpha. Ron Jenkins and Gerry Lewis also addressed the group.

Other than seeing co-workers shaking it on the dance floor, the highlight of the party was an entertaining gift exchange.
